Indirect Costs Policy

Intercept maintains a firm policy regarding the reimbursement of Indirect Costs to ensure that the majority of our capital is directed toward primary research and project activities. Intercept restricts Indirect Costs to no more than 15% of Direct Costs.

For the purposes of this policy, definitions are as follows:

• Direct Costs: Expenses that directly support and advance the project’s specific goals.
• Indirect Costs: General administrative and operational expenses that are not specifically identified with the funded project (i.e., overhead).
