Nan RansohoffCo-Head

Nan is the head of Public Goods at Stripe, where she started Frontier, a $2B Stripe-led advance market commitment to buy permanent carbon removal, and most recently Intercept, a $500M fund to make respiratory infections a thing of the past. Previously she led product and business teams at Opower, Nest, Uber, and Nuro. She received her BA from Harvard University and her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Charlie PettyCo-Head

Charlie is the co-head of Intercept and a long time investor in global public health technologies. He previously held leadership and investing roles at GHIC, Adjuvant Capital and the Global Health Investment Fund. Prior public health investments include Curevo (Eli Lilly), Vaccine Company (Eli Lilly), Alydia Health (Merck), Iantech (Carl Zeiss), Minervax, Monod Bio, Eubiologics, Terrestrial Bio, Centivax, Excision Biosciences, Codagenix, and Vitrivax.

Devin SokScience

Devin Sok is head of science at Intercept. Devin previously served as Head of Science and Operating Partner at the Global Health Investment Corporation. Prior to this, he led global R&D teams as Vice President of Discovery at IAVI with a joint appointment at Scripps Research. In this role, Devin oversaw R&D programs in infectious disease, broadly neutralizing antibodies, vaccines, and research capacity building in the global south.

Moncef SlaouiIndependent

Moncef Slaoui, PhD, is a longtime pharma and vaccines R&D leader. He served as chairman of Global R&D at GSK as well as chair of its vaccines division. In 2020 he co-led Operation Warp Speed to accelerate vaccine development against COVID-19. Since his retirement from GSK in 2017, Moncef has been very active in the Biotech VC community with Medicxi, as well as served on several boards including Moderna, Vaxcyte, ViceBio, Curevo and Altesa.

Rachel GlennersterCenter for Global Development

Rachel Glennerster is President of the Center for Global Development. A leading development economist, she has pioneered the use of randomized trials to improve policy on health, education, democracy, and women’s empowerment. She previously served as Chief Economist at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and as Executive Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).

Peter MarksEli Lilly and Company

Peter Marks received his Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology and his M.D. at New York University and completed Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Medical Oncology training at Brigham and Women’s. In 2012, he joined the U.S. FDA as Director of CBER from 2016 to 2025. He is currently Senior Vice President for Molecule Development and Head of Infectious Disease at Eli Lilly and Company. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Keith KlugmanGates Foundation

Keith Klugman is the Director of the pneumonia and pandemic preparedness programs at the Gates Foundation. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and is a recipient of the Sabin Gold Medal for his international efforts to develop lifesaving bacterial and viral vaccines for children. His specific expertise is in the prevention of pneumococcal disease. Keith received his MD and PhD in South Africa and completed his post-doctoral studies at Rockefeller University in New York in the late 1980s.

David VeeslerUniversity of Washington

David Veesler is an HHMI investigator and Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and the Hans Neurath Endowed Chair in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. His research aims to eradicate infectious diseases through host-pathogen studies that integrate structural biology, protein design, virology & immunology. His pioneering work helped lay the foundation for the first COVID-19 vaccines.

Linsey MarrIndependent

Linsey Marr is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. Her research group studies pollutants in indoor and outdoor air. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, she was one of a small number of researchers who studied viruses in the air. Marr is a MacArthur Fellow and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.

Michael KremerDevelopment Innovation Lab

Michael Kremer is a 2019 Nobel laureate in Economics, recognized for his experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. He is a Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, where he directs the Development Innovation Lab. Kremer co-founded Precision Development and the DIV Fund, and his work spans agriculture, education, water, and innovation policy, including Advance Market Commitments and other market shaping tools for promoting innovation.

Jake SwettBlueprint Biosecurity

Jake is the founder and Executive Director of Blueprint Biosecurity, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening society’s ability to prepare for and respond to pandemics. Previously he led a DNA sequencing startup, co-founded a biosecurity research nonprofit, and led the Apollo Program for Biodefense report published by the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense. He holds a PhD in nanotechnology from the University of Oxford.

Luciana BorioARCH Venture Partners

Dr. Luciana Borio is a Venture Partner at ARCH Venture Partners. She has held senior leadership positions at the White House National Security Council and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. She is a Senior Fellow for Global Health at the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the National Academy of Medicine. She received her M.D. from George Washington University and completed postgraduate training at Weill Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and the National Institutes of Health.
